This clip is circa ’97, the year before I actually fell in love with Rap Music. The album was ATLiens and if you couldn’t spit, it was time to chill for a while and get a nice day job. I choose this clip because of two things. The hunger and truth shown by both Emcees. One, Ahmad, who had a hit record out on the airwaves. The other, a rapper named “Juice”, unless told otherwise didn’t get any national success. Yet, these two guys truly did an amazing cypher.
Rapping (also known as emceeing, MCing, spitting (bars), or just rhyming) is the rhythmic spoken delivery of rhymes, wordplay, and poetry.
