If I recall correctly, I was introduced to William H. Johnson’s Work the summer of 2006 before my move to NY by an artist Jennifer Sargent. I was told that my design and his work of African American males were similar in style and color. Over time I began to become a huge fan of his strong use of color, using his work as inspiration for collections in recent past.
